PSX DOOM Level 29: Twilight Descends - Pistol Start (Ultra-Violence)

This is PSX DOOM Level 29: Twilight Descends - done from scratch with 100% kills and secrets. Twilight Descends is a PlayStation DOOM exclusive level and cannot be found from any other version of DOOM (maybe Sega Saturn?) Twilight Descends varies a lot during the game, including everything from warehouses, indoor areas and even mines. It starts with an instant Baron encounter, however you can ignore him, but you'll be running to the second Baron inside the warehouse area briefly. In case you wish to obtain the Mega-Armor, you'll have to deal with first Baron, and before you know it, the next one is revealed in the room with that Mega-Armor. Spare your rockets for good use, because by the time you get to that big courtyard with a Yellow Key, you really need them because there are 4 Barons guarding the Key. Save the Invulnerability until you enter the tunnels (after obtaining the Yellow Key) and use it to your advantage to wipe out as many enemies as you can. Be careful because there is a teleport trap in the tunnels, where monsters start to teleport in. It is a good way to kill yourself you use Rockets and stand right in front of the spawn point. Alternatively, you can stand on top of the spawn, preventing any monsters teleporting in, but at cost of inability to dodge incoming projectiles. Enter the teleport at end of the tunnels, and you'll be rewarded with a Megasphere. The last half of the level includes another Baron horde (close quarters this time). Use your available firepower to kill them, and you're almost done with the map. For the curious - there is a secret Exit leading to another PSX DOOM exclusive level MAP57: The Marshes in the tunnels (at 6:22 of this video). Twilight Descends is very linear level, but most of the areas are interconnected and open up when you have reached the later portion of the map. It is a fun level with plenty of Barons, but then again, there are good pickups to counter that. Enjoyable level, but unfortunately, speedrunning this map is not very practical due to its design.
