Flashing Yellow Arrow Doghouse Part 1

Flashing Yellow Arrow Doghouse Signal, not your typical protected/permissive traffic light if you ask me. The purpose of this strange combo? Option lanes. This setup is located at Farwell St & Galloway St, in Downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This intersection was signalized sometime in 2015. Another intersection has this exact same traffic signal setup, except each direction of traffic get its own mast arm/pole. That intersection is Lake St & 1st Ave, by UW-Eau Claire, not very far from this intersection. That intersection had its traffic signals replaced during a recent road rehab project. Anyway, to the point: Option lanes: Farwell St is a 4 lane-2 in each direction busy road, with the left lane being left turn/straight only, and the right lane being right turn/straight only.
