Finke 2026 At The 130 JUMP!

Chasing Dust & Revs: 3 Days at the 50th Anniversary Finke Desert Race! We traveled all the way to Alice Springs to witness history at the 50th anniversary of the legendary Tatts Finke Desert Race! Paul and I embarked on an epic 12-day, 7,000-kilometer round trip, and this video captures 2 intense days of high-flying, high-revving action straight from the 130-kilometer marker—right where the machines launch off the iconic 130km jump! A big shout out to Dick for risking his GoPros to obtain some awesome shots and for showing us Finke based on your past experiences! The Finke Desert Race is one of the toughest off-road courses in the world, held in the rugged Northern Territory of Australia. For this historic 50th year, the field was bigger than ever with over 650 bikes and 160 cars pushing their limits across the red dirt. How the race works: Day 1: The massive field of bikes and cars blast 226km from Alice Springs down to the small community of Aputula (Finke). Day 2: The surviving machines race all the way back to Alice Springs. There is nothing quite like the Finke atmosphere. We set up camp just 30 meters from the race line, sat back, and watched the best off-road racers on earth fly over the 130-marker jump.
