The October 3rd episode of 'X Factor' saw the first day of bootcamp week. Welcome back to ClevverMusic, here's your X Cap! The contestants who made it through the first audition round were in Miami where the heat was on literally and figuratively. After putting the hopefuls up in a fancy hotel, they were put to the ultimate test- bootcamp week. Their first task was to pick a song and sing in front of the rest of the contestants where at the end of the week they would go from 120 to just 24. As the contestants awkwardly took their seats on the stage floor, it was 13-year-old Diamond White who started it off on a high note. It seemed everyone wanted to sing Whitney Houston, including Diamond, who sang Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" which blew the judges away. Next up was 16-year-old Austin Corini, blonde haired Justin Bieber wannabe who sang a country song. The judges weren't wowed by his performance but commented that they think the fans will love him. One of our favorites was super sensual performer Jennel Garcia who sang her version of Gavin Degraw's "Sweeter". Demi Lovato whispered to her fellow judges regarding Jennel: "crazy sex appeal." But then things took a turn for the worse, we saw favorites crumble under pressure and lots of forgotten lyrics. Judge favorite Jessica Espinoza sang Whitney Houston's "When You Believe" and Demi Lovato said, "she's not as good as I remember." And we have to agree with that. Other judge favorite Trevor Moran sang Nicki Minaj's "Starships" in a high energy performance complete with his cute dance moves, but they judges thought his first audition was better. Then there was the sing off. Two back-to-back contestants chose to sing Whitney Houstons' I Will Always Love You" so Simon declared it a sing off. Paige Thomas sang first, followed by cheetah-faced Cece Frey who we think did a better job belting out the classic song. Who do you guys think won the sing off between Cece and Paige? Let us know!
