Ep. 13 Kanye West Testimony + Jesus Is King Live + Sunday Service + Interviews
I must say that these past few weeks have been tough listening to the attacks on Kanye West about him professing his faith in Jesus. His album release of Jesus is King and his Sunday Services have also received backlash and caused much debate. This hit home for me, because I was once lost like Kanye, working in the entertainment industry. I felt like I was always a "Christian" even though I was living a life of sin and far from God. Even after I was saved, it was a tough transition, battling the old me, and learning to accept the new me. It took about 3 years after giving my life to Christ to finally leave the entertainment industry. Now I am the happiest I have ever been walking with Christ. As of now, I can't say that I know Kanye's heart and thoughts, but why can't we pray for him and pray that he has correct guidance in this walk rather than attack. I used to do Bible Studies and immediately after head to the club and participate in sinful acts. It took some time for me to grow, and I am still growing. So whether he is genuine or not, that is between him and God. We should not discount him for speaking about Jesus, lets support him and help guide him if we see fit. He is creating conversation and awareness about Jesus, what's wrong with that? All I can say is that I know a lot of Kanye's out there, people stuck between both sides and trying to reach God, but in the midst of the walk, make a lot of errors. Those people need prayers and support, more than criticism. Those of us Christians who read the Bible, please find one person in the book outside of Jesus who wasn't flawed. God still had mercy on many in the book, so why would he not have mercy on Kanye, on you, on me, or anyone else. I put this together so you can see the great that Kanye is doing. Listen to him share his testimony and journey from multiple interviews and take a listen to the amazing choir that he has surrounded himself with. “Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.
