Prime Minister Boris Johnson described the Covid-19 pandemic as: "The biggest public health crisis in a generation". Adding: "Many more will die of the virus" as the government prepares to gear into the 'delay stage' on the virus prevention plan. The PM came straight from chairing an emergency Cobra meeting on the UK government response that includes more stringent measures to counter the outbreak. He said: "People with persistent coughs or fever told to self isolate for seven days" but chooses to keep schools open.
