Baby Kidnapped by Savage Cannibal Mutants - The Hills Have Eyes (1977) - Horror Movie Recap

Mutant rednecks cannibalize babies in the desert!? That's the question we'll have to explore in this horror movie recap of Wes Craven's original The Hills Have Eyes (1977). Old Fred is the unfortunate father of a violent, fire-starting mutant that ultimately killed his family and burned down his home. In an attempt to sidestep responsibility for his upbringing, Fred takes the boy out to the desert to leave him for dead. Instead, he stole a prostitute and started a family. Now, they prey on any travelers ignorant enough to enter their domain. In this case, the Carter/Wood family. Attempting to make their way to California, they take a sightseeing trip off the main road toward a silver mine. Unfortunately, when their caravan runs off the road, they become sitting ducks square in the middle of Jupiter's playground. The end result is them becoming the focus of his and his sons efforts toward stealing valuables and finding sweet meat to eat and help sustain their growing family.
