The Unknown History of the Lahore Resolution!

লাহোর প্রস্তাবের অজানা ইতিহাস! - The unknown history of the Lahore Resolution ! Poet Allama Iqbal mentioned a separate state for Muslims in 1930 long before the Lahore Resolution. In 1933, Cambridge University student Chowdhury Rahmat Ali drew the outline of a state called Pakistan with the majority Muslim areas in the northwest region of India. It was not until 1937-38 that Muhammad Ali Jinnah thought of a separate state for Muslims. However, after the bitter experience of the 1937 elections and the speech of the victorious Congress president after the election, he realized that the aspirations of the minority Muslim community would not materialize under the rule of Hindu leaders. Taking into account the overall political situation, the bitter experiences of the past, and the interests of the Muslims, Jinnah announced his much-discussed-criticized two-nation theory in 1939. The Lahore Resolution of 1940 largely guided the implementation of this declaration. This resolution was adopted in the Lahore Session of the Muslim League on 23 March 1940, hence it is known in history as the 'Lahore Resolution'. The proposal of Lahore is a very important event in the political history of the Muslims of the subcontinent.
