And with this along with the Steelers free agent signing of Mitch Trubisky earlier in the 2022 offseason, the NFL world knew a quarterback battle would be brewing to see who starts the 2022 NFL season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And so far, Kenny Pickett has left the majority of who have watched him in awe with his play. Whether it be his accuracy, awareness, pocket presence, etc, he looks like a veteran through his NFL preseason debut and games. Pickett is continuing to give Mike Tomlin trouble with making a decision of who will be the Steelers QB1. While Mitch Trubisky has been great as well, it is still up in the air who will get the nod. Regardless, when Kenny Pickett rolls into this Steelers offense with a wide receiver core of guys like Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, Calvin Austin III and standout rookie George Pickens, it is going to be extremely entertaining to see what the Steelers rookie can do for the team this season, and for the foreseeable future.
