Wild CRIMSON-RUMPED WAXBILL, Singapore

Aka Rosy-rumped Waxbill, the Crimson-rumped Waxbill is a member of the finch family. Its home is in East Africa, where it is a commonly found. In Singapore, however, this pretty little bird is considered exotic, as it is not a native here. The ones found here are believed to be introduced from the pet trade.
