IF function is one of the most popular functions in excel. It uses a logical test to determine the output and output will be different when the test is true or false. The use can control the true and false condition output. The IF() function has three arguments logical test, value when true and value when false. This is further explained in the video with examples. Also, it can be used to handle complex criteria by combining multiple IF() functions which is called as nested IF(). This is also explained in the video with examples. Sometimes, nested IF() can be complicated and time consuming in that case the alternative option is the IFS() function. IFS() function is similar to nested IF() but simple to use and less confusing. More details can be found in the video. Another function explained here id the IFERROR() function which helps the user to address errors in a formula. When a formula gives error as output, we can use IFERROR function to explain the possible reasons for an error. This will help the user to identify and rectify the error if possible. When there is no error, the function returns original formula output when no error is detected. The following errors can addressed though the IFERROR function: #N/A, #VALUE!, #REF!, #DIV/0!, #NUM!, #NAME?, or #NULL!
