Victor Wembanyama Is NOT The Best Prospect Ever...

There have been a lot of crazy statements going around lately surrounding 2023 NBA Draft prospect Victor Wembanyama. He will be the first overall pick in this year’s NBA draft, and standing at 7’5” with guard-like skills he’s truly a generational prospect. But the talk surrounding him has gotten out of hand. Two statements from around the time of the lottery stick out to me. One came from Woj, who said he is not only the best prospect in the history of the NBA but in the history of team sports. Tiger Woods, anyone? Mike Trout and Bryce Harper? Messi and Ronaldo? There’s been a lot of great prospects throughout the years, and there’s many sports that host them. Then, I believe it was Chris Broussa rd, who came out with a statement around the same time, saying that if Wemby turned out to be Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, or Hakeem ‘The Dream’ Olajuwon, he would be a disappointment. Which is just insane to say. At this point, there’s just too much hype. But I’m here to tell you that Victor is not the best prospect in NBA history. Now this will not be a video to discredit Victor, he is a generational prospect. Rather this is a video to point out the recency bias going on here. Victor Wembanyama is not the greatest draft prospect in NBA history. Now let’s take a deeper look at why. Think about subbing, I'm on the road to 8k!!! #victorwembanyama #lebronjames #nbadraft
