Bobby Bowden's Samford Story: Part 1

Bobby Bowden, the NCAA leader in all-time wins as a head football coach, is a 1953 Samford University graduate. Coach Bowden played football at Samford (then Howard College) from 1949 to 1952. He was an assistant coach in 1954-55, and became head coach of the football from 1959-1962.
