The accident occurred near the canal crossing in Kamalapur town. Kamlapur, Sitapur. On Monday afternoon, a speeding truck hit a tempo full of passengers and then hit two bike riders standing nearby near the canal crossing in the town. Three people, including a woman, were killed in the accident, while four others, including a girl, were seriously injured. One of the injured was referred to the district hospital, while the others are being treated locally. Police, upon receiving information about the incident, have taken all vehicles, including the truck, into custody and initiated investigations. Police say they will file a case and take necessary action. On Monday afternoon, near the canal crossing in Kamalapur town, a truck headed towards Lucknow collided with a tempo coming from the district headquarters. After hitting the tempo, the uncontrolled truck also hit a woman and two bikes parked on the roadside. Seven people, including the woman and the occupants of the tempo, were injured in the accident. Police immediately informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and took the injured to the Central Health Center (CHC). Meanwhile, the truck driver and helper fled. The injured included Ashok, a resident of Bhagautipur in the Khairabad area, Ram Avtar, 45, son of Bihari, a resident of Ghasipur village in the same area, Manoj Kumar, 32, son of Ayodhya, a resident of Patarakalan in the Kamalapur area, Farida, 52, wife of Insan Ali and Meena, residents of the same area, Shanti, 39, wife of Shambhu, a resident of Bhanpur village, and nine-year-old Rohini. They were taken to Kasmanda CHC, from where Ashok, Ram Avtar, and Farida were transferred to the district hospital. All three, including the woman, died. Farida was standing on the roadside. The others were in a tempo. After sending the injured for treatment, the police seized the truck, tempo, and other damaged vehicles. Police say they will file a case and take necessary action.
