LGBT Rights in Russia campaign 26/02/14

On 26th February 2014 UoB Amnesty International took to the streets of Birmingham to campaign for LGBT rights in Russia. Russia is one of the hardest countries to be gay in, with the Russian government and the Russian Orthodox Church being key in the suppression of LGBT rights. Russia has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, and LGBT people are more prone to suicide given the dire situation. LBGT rights is an issue in many countries.
