Seahawks T.C. Takeaways (8/17): Jamal Adams is back, and looks very much like Jamal Adams

I was at Seahawks Training Camp today. Here’s what I saw: Jamal Adams was back, & in great shape. Maybe that was just the short shorts. Whatever the case, he had a chance to demolish a tight end over the middle early in practice. Since there’s no contact, he pulled up and did a couple of pirouettes after exploding towards the TE. The offense was sloppy, there were lots of false starts, and the defense took advantage. They seemed energized by Adams return. Kerry Hyder looked VERY fast out there. Tracking guys down on the sideline AND deflected a pass. I enjoyed watching Darrell Taylor pass rush against 6’8 LT Greg Eiland. He seemed to add a little shoulder dip to his speed rush which I’m hoping can evolve further. Al Woods stuffed a running back, and while said RB didn’t go flying, the hit was LOUD. I saw A LOT of Tre Brown reps. I’d like to see some more of them. He flies to the ball in a way that I’ve come to expect out of D.J. Reed. There was one offensive highlight. Surprise! It was DK Metcalf in traffic on Tre Flowers. Flowers had good positioning, but couldn’t quite make the play. . . . . .
