ONE DESPERATE AUTO-LIFTER WAS ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PS VIKASPURI

PRESS RELEASE DELHI POLICE INCIDENT AND OPERATION- On 31/07/2022, a team of HC Neeraj, HC Nahar, Ct Ghasi Ram and Ct Satpal was performing patrolling duty at Nala Road near Keshopur Vikas Puri, Delhi. During active patrolling at about 8.30 PM, vigilant staff spotted a person on a M/Cycle whose activities were found suspicious. When the M/Cycle rider instructed to stop the vehicle, despite this the accused person escalated the speed, but alert staff chased the m/cycle and apprehended him. On enquiry his name was revealed as Suraj @ Chikna R/o Nangloi, Delhi Age 23years and on search 01 country made pistol along with 01 live Cartridges and One Mobile Phone were recovered from his possession. On checking the mobile phone was found to be stolen vide FIR No. 716/22 u/s 356/379 IPC PS Vikas Puri and the said M/Cycle was found to be stolen vide E-FIR No. 017757/22 u/s 379 IPC PS Dabri. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 431/22, dated-31.07.22, U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered and accused was arrested. Further investigation is in progress.
