#slimmingworld #airfryer #airfryerrecipes #airfryeroven #hashbrown #healthyrecipes Serves 8 Syns per serving : FREE Vegan 400g can new potatoes in water, drained (if your can is a different size, you’ll need about 275g drained canned potatoes) 350g floury potatoes, such as Maris piper, peeled 1 medium onion, coarsely grated low-calorie cooking spray Put the canned potatoes in a large bowl and crush with a fork or masher – you’re aiming for what looks like very lumpy mash. Coarsely grate the fresh potatoes into a clean tea towel. Wring out as much liquid as you can, then tip them into the mash. Add the onion and a little seasoning, then get your hands in there and give everything a good mix. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a rectangle about 7cm x 5cm and 2cm thick. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Line the air fryer basket with baking paper and add 4 hash browns. Squirt them with low-calorie cooking spray and cook for 15-20 minutes or until golden and cooked, turning halfway. Set aside on a plate and cover with foil. Repeat to cook the rest of the hash browns, returning the first batch for a few minutes to warm them back up. These are amazing with a splash of tomato ketchup (1 Syn per level tbsp), as part of a cooked breakfast – or with just about anything, to be honest. To cook in the oven: put the hash browns in a non-stick baking tray and cook at 220°C/fan 200°C/gas 7 for 15-20 minutes This recipe is from the Slimming World cook book 'Air fryers and friends' available exclusively to Slimming World members.
