Israel has approved sweeping measures expanding its control over the occupied West Bank, in a move widely considered a violation of international law. Some of the most consequential steps include allowing the direct purchase of Palestinian land by Israeli settlers and allowing the Israeli government to sell lands that belong to Palestinians.
