CAS upholds WADA's appeal against FINA decision on Sun Yang's swim ban

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced on Friday that it would uphold the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)'s appeal against FINA's decision on Sun Yang, the three-time Olympic swimming champion from China. Sun is banned from competing for eight years. There is a possibility that Friday's verdict is not the end of the case. Both sides maintain the right to file an appeal within 15 days. If the new appeal doesn't lead to a new verdict, this will be the final decision.
