ITC Shares. The central government has decided to increase the excise duty on cigarettes. As a result, the ITC stock has been under pressure for the past two days, falling by 13 percent in this period. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance on December 31, an excise duty ranging from Rs. 2,050 to Rs. 8,500 will be levied on every 1,000 sticks, depending on the length of the cigarettes.
