The agreement came after a meeting late on Tuesday in Gaza . After the talks, Abbas said, "We want to continue it with everybody, we want everyone to join it. We agreed tonight to discuss all issues in a week and this committee and members will start discussing the prisoners documents immediately." Hamas agreed to a dialogue but has so far rejected the plan, saying it implies recognition of the Jewish state Abbas planned to put the issue to a national referendum if Hamas does not accept the plan by July 26. Abbas also told reporters he had urged various leaders for help to stop the attacks against his people. "A while ago tonight, I spoke to the UN secretary general and with the secretary national of the Arab league and with other officials all over the world just to tell them: stop hurting us, stop hurting us. We want peace and they ( the Israelis) are going too far in randomly killing innocents and civilians," he said. Abbas' comments come after Israeli air strike against a top Palestinian rocket launcher and his accomplice killed eight members of a family including two children, while they held a picnic on a beach in Gaza.
