The militants attacked a telecommunications mast in the third such violent incident in Kenya this week. A bomb blast in northeastern Nigeria kills at least 30 people and wounds many more. An improvised explosive device detonated Monday on a crowded bridge at around 5 p.m. local time in Ggamboru, in Borno State. A Tanzanian court charges rights activist Tito Magoti with money laundering and other offenses after he was detained for four days, according to the Legal and Human Rights Center. Prosecutors in Kisuto court say Magoti and co-worker Theodory Giyan are being charged with leading organized crime, money laundering and possessing computer programs designed for the purpose of committing crimes. In October, Kenya launched a mass vaccination of girls against the human papillomavirus or HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer.
