Iron Maiden - Coliseum, New Haven, Connecticut, USA, Jan. 26, 1991, during the '' No Prayer On The Road Tour'' 1990-1991. Wrathchild (Harris) Bruce Dickinson:Vocals Steve Harris:Bass Janick Gers:Guitar Dave Murray:Guitar Nicko McBrain:Drums [Lyrics] I was born into a scene of angriness and greed, and dominance and persecution My mother was a queen, my dad I've never seen, I was never meant to be And now I spend my time looking all around For a man that's nowhere to be found Until I find him I'm never gonna stop searching I'm gonna find my man, gonna travel around 'Cause I'm a wrathchild Well I'm a wrathchild Yeah I'm a wrathchild I'm coming to get you, oooh yeah! Some say it shouldn't matter, ain't nothin' gonna alter the course of my destination I know I've got to find some serious peace of mind, or I know I'll just go crazy And now I spend my time looking all around For a man that's nowhere to be found Until I find him I'm never gonna stop searching I'm gonna find my man, gonna travel around 'Cause I'm a wrathchild Well I'm a wrathchild Yeah I'm a wrathchild I'm coming to get you, oooh yeah! ......................................................... 'Wrathchild' is a song from Iron Maiden's album ''Killers'',released in 1981. ''Wrathchild' was originally recorded on an album called Metal For Muthas along with 'Sanctuary'. That was before we had a record contract. The version on this record is pretty different. A lot of people asked us why we didn't put it on the first album. But we felt because it was on Metal For Muthas we didn't want to put it on the first album. By the time we did Killers we weren't happy with that version so so we wanted to record it properly. The guitar frills around the vocals were from Adrian. Originally they weren't there but when Adrian joined the band he decided to put them in. '' (Steve Harris) This is the classic track from Killers...It's catchy and accessible, and was originally recorded on the Metal For Muthas compilation, which might be why it wasn't included on the previous album. It is about an angry young man searching for his unknown father, presumably with violent intentions. Nice bass intro too. '' 'Killers' is the second album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on February 2, 1981 in the UK, and June, 1981 in the US. The album was the first of their albums to feature guitarist Adrian Smith, and the last to feature vocalist Paul Di'Anno, who was fired from the band mid-tour due to problems with alcohol and cocaine. This was also the first Iron Maiden album produced by veteran producer Martin Birch who went on to produce their next eight albums before retiring after Fear of the Dark in 1992.
