세번째 코로나 수능 Welcome to Issues and Insiders. Today we revisit the ongoing pandemic as Korea faces its 7th wave amid the country's third annual college entrance exam. For more I have Professor Kim Moon Kyu from Yonsei University. Professor Kim it's good to have you here. I also have Doctor Kim Seung-taek from Institut Pasteur Korea. Doctor Kim welcome back. 1) Professor Kim, this year, test takers who have COVID-19 will be required to sit for the exam at special testing sites and not at hospitals or residential treatment centers. Accordingly, some have voiced concerns about a potential surge in cases following the national college admissions examination. Do you share these concerns? 2) Doctor Kim, health authorities say Korea's current 7th wave may lead to as many as 200,000 infections a day. What are your thoughts, and how severe does this latest rebound look to be? 3) Professor Kim, in the course of the pandemic, we've spoken about a twindemic ahead of each winter, but this time, I hear, there are fears about a possible tripledemic especially among parents of young children. Now, what is a tripledemic, and how should we respond? 4) And Doctor Kim, as we've said time and time again, prevention is better than cure. That being said, do remind us a bit about the bivalent vaccines available here in the country. 5) Professor Kim, when do you predict will Korea see its 7th wave peak, and do you suppose that peak will pave the path to a lifting of indoor mask requirements early next spring as earlier pledged by some health experts? 6) Doctor Kim, does Korea remain dedicated to developing drugs against COVID-19 or have such endeavors been marginalized as the globe adapts to this new normal amid the pandemic? 7) Professor Kim, speaking as a doctor who has been at the front-lines of the battle against pandemic, do you suppose Korea's campaign against COVID-19 has better prepared it for future pandemics or is there room for improvement? 8) And Doctor Kim, what can you tell us about Korea's readiness with regard to developing timely treatments? I mean, do we need greater support on this front?
