NFS Rivals - Racer Training / Racer Tutorial

This video gives an introduction to the gameplay as a racer in Need for Speed Rivals. Warning: The game doesn't have proper controller support. I am not able to play with my usual Logitech gamepad. The only controller that definitely works is the Xbox 360 controller but even with that one you are not able to edit the key configuration. I am also suffering from strong FPS drops when I am trying to record videos. However, the game is running fine for me so far when I am not trying to record. There are 4 types of racer events on the map: Races, Time Trials, Hot Pursuits (races with cops) and Interceptors (escaping the cops). You can also start head to head races with other racers like you can see in this video. There are 3 types of collectibles with speedwalls on the map: Speed Cameras, Speed Zones and Jumps. The goal of Speed Zones is to achieve a high average speed between two points. There are only 2 camera views: Bumper and Outside. You can look behind by using the rotate camera feature (right analog stick with the Xbox 360 controller), which I didn't know yet when I recorded this video. There is no manual shifting. When you get busted or your car takes fatal damage (the durability of your car is shown in the bottom right but it seems that you can't take damage in this tutorial) you lose the speed points from the current session but you keep the goals from the current speed list that you already completed. You can repair your car by driving through a repair shop. This will also refill your pursuit tech ammo (not shown in this video). You can enter a hideout even when you are in a pursuit. Each of the 5 performance values (Durability, Strength, Control, Acceleration, Top Speed) can be upgraded 5 times for each car. Let me know in the comments if you have any additional questions about the game.
