TGIF; Importance of Fridays; Stand Up for Your Values - Maulana Syed Muhammad Rizvi

Why is Friday a sacred day for Muslims? In Muslim countries, schedules are compatible with Friday being a day of prayer and relaxation, however it is a challenge in the West. Despite this challenge, we still have sizeable number of people who are able to attend Friday prayers Narrating a Prophetic saying regarding the importance of Fridays Sometimes we say why are blessings coming to the West and not among the Muslims. However, what has God not given to the Muslims?... In addition to that, at least socieety in the West follows what they believe in (relatively speaking), compared to the way Muslims behave in their own countries. This applies whether it comes to financial laws, traffic, business, government, etc. The example of the Madrid meeting between the Palestinians and the Israelis, the last day of the meeting happened to be Friday. The Israelis were firm that they want to end the meeting in the afternoon at a time when they can fly back to Israel before sundown so that they can reach home and observe Sabbath. From the Palestinians, there was no discussion of the Friday prayer and that we need time for attending the Friday prayer. And yet, we complain, why the blessings come to the West?
