Firefighters find 25 vehicles burning in junkyard fire

The China Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on some property at around 3 p.m. in the 11000 block of Highway 90.It appeared that the owner was storing vehicles there and when the fire department arrived at the scene there were 25 cars on fire, Deputy Rod Caroll said.The China Volunteer Fire Department requested assistance from the Beviled Oaks Fire Department, Sour Lake Fire Department, and the Beaumont Fire Department.The fire is still under investigation and there were no injuries.
