Iran Warns Strait of Hormuz Will Not Reopen; Rezaei Sets Terms for US Withdrawal

Former IRGC Commander Major General Mohsen Rezaei has warned that the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen amid ongoing tensions with the United States. Rezaei stated that the war will only end if the US compensates Iran for damages and withdraws its forces from the Persian Gulf. He emphasized that true regional security can only be achieved if regional nations take control of the strait rather than foreign powers. He added that Iran’s position in the region will be significantly stronger after the conflict, and declared that the end of the war is in Iran’s hands.
