TODAY'S GOSPEL: John 20:1-9 Today, the Lord has risen. The Gospel for Easter Sunday reminds us that with the resurrection of the Lord, we are given a clean slate, a renewal. This is a new start for us. The Lord’s words, “Do not be afraid,” cannot be more appropriate to us now. His words remind us that we should not be afraid of the pandemic because He is with us. He has risen and He has come to save us. So as we celebrate His resurrection, let us pray for the grace to rekindle our relationship and faith in Him, and to develop a love for the Lord that does not need further proof—the same way that John the beloved “saw and believed” the moment he saw the empty tomb of Christ.
