After 4 attempts, we finally found our natural spring water source. We were utterly disappointed and heart broken. What a journey it has been!! Attempt #1 - obstacle We were not prepared and very unfit!! It was very steep and slippery it took about 1 hour 30 mins, return Attempt #2 - obstacle 1 MASSIVE fallen tree Justin had to chainsaw a foot step and tie rope for us to climb over this took about 2 hours, return Attempt #3 - obstacle We stumbled across MULTIPLE fallen trees 🌳 🌳🌳🌳🌳 We weren't prepared to climb through the trees. It looked like a snake pit 😳 We had to turn around This took about 2 hours, return Attempt #4 Justin made a DIY wood bridge to climb over the multiple fallen trees PLUS an extra 20 mins of hiking and climbing, we finally made it 🎉🎉 it took about 2 hours 30 mins, return *** Water is ESSENTIAL in everything we do at our homestead. When we bought this homestead, there was meant to be year round, natural spring water, feeding our off grid 5,000L water tank. This water tank, in turn, was meant to supply water to our house, our orchard, our greenhouse and our veggie patch. We have learnt the HARD way that things never go to plan. Our water tank was supplying, brown discoloured water to our homestead. It was essential that we go find our natural spring to see what was causing this discolouration. What an epic journey this was!
