Kenya widens malaria vaccine drive for infants

The government says it is scaling up the vaccination of children against Malaria in the lake region. So far some 400,000 children have been inoculated in the counties of Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Siaya and Vihiga. The Ministry of health says Kenya is looking to build on the drop in Malaria prevalence which stood at 6% in 2020 by expanding the vaccination to 25 more sub counties in the region.
