In this video I've got a pretty good ao12 (8.44) and ao5 (7.44, solves 4-8) doing RU 2 gen scrambles OH. They're super helpful for learning different ways to insert F2L pairs with only R and U moves, which is great for getting faster at OH but also helpful for 2H solving as well. You will also see that your TPS will steadily increase when practicing these. Also you'll get better at looking ahead during F2L -- from doing these RU 2 gen scrambles I can now look ahead to finish both the F2L pairs during inspection for about 50% of solves. The only downside is that you don't get any practice with non-EPLL cases, but for that you can always go and practice last slot last layer scrambles with OH. Also another thing you'll notice is that I've learned 2 gen algs for all the OLL cases with all edges oriented, which I think is super helpful for OH solves, and especially for just doing RU 2 gen because you'll guarantee that you always skip corner permutation for the PLL stage. I learned all of these algs at Antoine Cantin's website.
