Union Minister Gopinath Munde Dies of Heart Attack After Road Accident in Delhi,NewspointTV

Senior BJP leader and union minister for rural development Gopinath Munde died this morning reportedly of a heart attack after a road accident in Delhi. He was 64. At about 6.20 this morning, Mr Munde was on his way to the Delhi airport when an Indica car crashed into the minister's SX4 car at the the Prithviraj Road and Aurobindo Chowk cross-section in the heart of the capital, the police said. Doctors quoted the minister's personal staff as saying that the Indica crashed into the car on the side that the minister was seated in the rear seat. Mr Munde, who seemed to have suffered only minor injuries, was in shock, his staff members said. Doctors have said Mr Munde was diabetic and suffered from hypertension. Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan, Minister of State for Railways Shri Manoj Sinha condole the passing away of Gopinath Munde. Gopinath Munde's mortal remains being taken to BJP headquarters, where BJP leaders will pay their last respects. Gopinath Munde's family reaches AIIMS. Munde's elder daughter is accompanied by Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goel. After the post-mortem is completed Munde's body will be taken to BJP headquarters in Delhi where party leaders will pay their last respects. Nitin Gadkari receives Munde's family at IGI airport in Delhi and heads towards BJP headquarters. Last rites of Munde will be performed tomorrow and his body would be placed at the party headquarters later today for leaders to pay last respects.
