It was tears and sorrow for colleagues and friends of the late speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Michael Adeyemo, when the news of his sudden death broke in Ibadan on Friday. The deceased's deputy in the house, Abdul Wasiu Musa who led other members to the University Teaching Hospital in Ibadan where the late Speaker's body has been deposited for autopsy, broke down in tears as he paid tribute to the politician. Musa said he was in touch with Adeyemo until late Thursday night and could still not believe that he is no more. The Deputy Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Oyo State chapter, Bayo Sodo who was among early callers for a condolence visit to the House of Assembly building, also expressed deep shock at the sudden death of Adeyemo whom he described as a rare gem. Michael Adeyemo, 47, died suddenly at his Ibadan home in the early hours of Friday after he was reported to have slumped. The cause of his death is yet to be made public.
