By virtue of all the kind of charity which is received and the fruit which is found in all the pilgrimages, a person receives it only by donating water in the month of Vaishakh. If a person is unable to donate water for any reason, he attains virtue by explaining the importance of donating water to others in the month of Vaishakh. The man who puts onions on the road in Vaishakh for the passengers is revered in Vishnulok. The one who has satisfied the weary and wretched men of the path by putting onions, has satisfied Brahma, Vishnu Mahesh, all the deities, ancestors and sages etc. Rajan! In the month of Vaishakh, the person who wants water should fan the water, the one who wants shade, the one who wants the umbrella and the fan. Rajendra! Just by drinking water to the thirsty one gets the result of ten thousand Rajasuya Yajnas. A fan who dries a person suffering from sunlight and toil, makes him wind up only that much and becomes a councilor of God. Whoever wears the best dwij from the path with the cloth, he is freed from that, he attains the combination of Lord Vishnu. The one who gives a palm fan with pure mind, annihilates all sins and goes to Brahmaloka. One who donates Paduka in the month of Vishnu, the beloved Vaishakh, goes to the Vishnu lok by despising the Yamdoots. The virtue of the person who builds a rest house for orphans on the road cannot be described. If any food is given to the guest who comes in the afternoon, then its fruit is not the end of it. Rajan!
