What if... B*Witched were a Celtic Punk band? Imagine, if you will, it's 1998 n an alternative universe, not unlike our own. A recently-formed B*Witched are trying to find their sound, initially influenced by the gentle, innofensive pop of Keavy and Edele's older brother Shane's band, Boyzone. However, one rehearsal, Lindsay arrives, buzzing with excitement. The proprietor of her local record shop has just persuaded her to purchase Do Or Die, the debut album by The Dropkick Murphys, and its blend of raw, street-level punk infused with a strong sense of Irish heritage has inspired her. Her bandmates are initially wary, but after hearing the record, are equally convinced, and immediately set about reworking 'C'est La Vie', retaining the catchy melody and traditional Irish breakdown, but adding a raucous backing that melds driving punk folk instrumentation. Released as the band's debut single, it is a roaring success, establishing them at the forefront of the homegrown Celtic punk scene for decades to come!
