Alex P.O.V I look at the clock it was already 5 its already dusk. I made a little stretching. Kevin was still sleeping and his head is resting at my lap. I kissed his fore head and strokes his hair. I noticed that his not responding. I'm curious are vampires truly dead; no pulse, not breathing, no warmth according to some vampire novels? "Dad? Wake up. Its night soon." I said while I pat his face gently. He wasn't responding at all. I place my fingers near his nose but I don't feel any air coming out then I place my hands to his cold chest and there's no heart beat. I was now worried I made everything in order to wake him up but he didn't now I had teary eyes. "Joe! Nick! Where are you!" I cried. They weren't there. I run all over the house but I can't find it them, were are they, shoot what am I suppose to do. I went back to the room his skin tone now beginning to turn grey. "Oh my God, Dad! Wake up!" I said while I cry to his chest. Suddenly I remember the thing vampires need the most, BLOOD. Meanwhile... Nick's P.O.V I was struggling her blood tempted me so much. Even though I'm already full but human blood is still irresistible. The girl was crying and screaming in pain his cut was deep and she's losing blood rapidly and the worst part of all is I had the urge to feed. I was chained to her there's no possible way for me to left her she can die here alone or I could end her suffering quickly that's the only choice I have. I had no other choice the only thing that comes into my mind was to help her end her suffering. "Mom Dad help me!" She cried. I suddenly paused and examine the area. As I move quickly to the bushes there was a camp site near us, her parents was there dead and drained. I think Cody and Sterling had killed her parents. As I checked the girl he was already on the ground lying and weak. I was suppose to continue the thing to do, but suddenly I stopped as I look at her, it reminds me of Alex when I first saw her crying for her loss and begging for her life. "A... Alex." I gasp, I think this girl is the same age with Alex. She's already struggling and she lost a lot of blood tear a piece of my cloth and apply pressure on her wound to stop the bleeding. I then carry her and begin to run as fast as I can. I brought her to the nearest hospital but I can't possibly show my face like this in that place people may knew who I am. I use my ability to manipulate the first nurse that approach us. The nurse then quickly get the stretcher and run her to the E.R. Alex P.O.V I went directly to the freezer hoping Joe had put some blood bags on it. But as I open its just all human foods. I went to the basement and open another freezer but its empty I guess Joe went out to get some more. I went back to my Dads library and tries to wake him up desperately. "Dad please wake up." "Blood, blood, blood were could I find some blood" I mumbled. "Of course were in the middle of the forest." I stand on my feet immediately and run outside to find some rabbit, weasel or any stray animal. I went on searching with a piece of wood in my hand. May be one blow is enough to kill them. I search all over the field but I didn't find anything, were are those rabbits who made their way here before, where are they when I need them the most. Unsuccessful I went to back inside my eyes were already filled with tears. I pick up my phone and tries to call Joe and Nick but they didn't answer my call. "Shoot were are they". I went back to Dad I had nothing to do anymore I fell on my knees and cry into his chest. This couldn't be happening, why is he still asleep and unresponsive to any stimulus I made. Is this the effect of being bitten by another vampire. If Dad died I cannot blame Nick about this. I don't want to be mad at him. I stand on my feet again and do that thing and which is my last option. I went out to my room and get a razor. "I can do this." I mumbled at my self. I begin to cut my wrist though its very painful but I have to do this. Suddenly blood rushes out through the cut. I tilt dads chin and open his mouth then I place my wrist on it. "Come on Dad drink my blood." My blood keep on flowing out. Suddenly Kevin moves his hand around and hold my blood as he drink it. I felt his fangs sink on my wrist and begins to drink more. I felt dizzy and enduring the pain. I felt my blood runs quickly to my wrist. Suddenly my vision began to blurry and then turns to dark.
