President Trump announced via Twitter that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has officially been fired. In the same tweet, Trump named CIA Director, Mike Pompeo, as Tillerson's replacement. Pompeo contrasts starkly from Tillerson, as he's been extremely hawkish towards Iran, North Korea, and Russia in the past, whereas Tillerson was widely seen as a moderating force in Trump's administration, who often talked Trump down from his more radical foreign policy positions.
