The 2017 hurricane season is expected to be below average. Experts are predicting 11 storms will be named. 4 of those storms are predicted to be hurricanes and 2 are predicted to be major hurricanes. Major hurricanes are considered to be category 3 or stronger. These predictions are below the 30 year average.
