Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme via video conferencing to extend health insurance coverage to all residents of Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi attacked Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal Government for blocking central schemes. On the other hand, Shiv Sena in it's mouthpiece Saamna has launched a scathing attack on Congress, criticising the UPA and the divided opposition for not taking up the farmers deadlock. The Saamna in its editorial said that Congress and UPA failed to put pressure on Government over issues concerning people. It also said that UPA is shambles and not strong enough to unite the opposition. The Shiv Sena even backed NCP Chief, Sharad Pawar as a leadership face in UPA.
