The Dallas Cowboys & running back Ezekiel Elliott finally agreed to a contract extension Wednesday morning as the All-Pro RB will receive a $6-year, $90 million contract extension, making him the first Cowboys RB to receive have a $100+ MM deal in his hands. With the two years remaining on his rookie contract, Elliott’s deal is now 8-years, $103 MM. Cowboys rumors were all over the place in the last week leading up to the deal. Including Monday and Tuesday when the deal was both ‘done’ and ‘not close’ based on various reports. Elliott has now reported to The Star, the Cowboys’ practice facility, and a press conference will be held Thursday. Cowboys vs. Giants is a Week 1 tradition at this point, but this year’s contest had a little extra off-field drama leading up to it. Now, we’ll get to see two of the best RBs in the NFL battle.
