This episode takes us on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Ladakh — starting early morning from Diskit Monastery in Nubra Valley and travelling across some of the most remote and silent landscapes to reach Pangong Lake by evening. The route was completely deserted, surrounded by vast mountains, cold winds, and absolute silence. By the time we reached Pangong around 7 PM, the temperature dropped close to -10°C, making it one of the coldest nights of the trip. Despite the freezing weather, the stay near the lake was warm, peaceful, and deeply memorable. The next day, as we began our journey towards Hanle, Pangong revealed its true magic. The lake stayed with us for miles — wide, endless, and glowing in multiple shades of blue. At moments, it felt unreal, almost like looking at Earth from space. The colours, reflections, and island-like views made it feel more like foreign waters than something on our planet. As the journey continued, fuel became a serious concern, pushing us to make an unplanned halt at Nyoma, home to one of the world’s highest petrol stations. After refuelling, we finally resumed our journey towards Hanle, carrying with us memories of silence, survival, colours, and one of the most visually stunning routes in Ladakh. This episode is about isolation, beauty, cold nights, and the raw magic of travel where plans change, but experiences become unforgettable.
