After dealing with Ryder, Carl pays his brother Sweet a visit about some graffiti issues. When he gets there, he finds Sweet and Big Smoke playing some basketball. Sweet taunts CJ by calling him a running man and even though CJ says he's here to stay, Sweet doesn't think he's legit. To prove himself, Sweet wants Carl to go spray over Ballas tags with the Grove Street Families logo. Sweet changes his mind and tags along with CJ to go spray some tags. So, the Johnson brothers head to Idlewood, which is currently under the control of the Ballas, they spray the tags in the area and then, they head to the district of East Los Santos. CJ is left on his own to spray the tags while his brother heads to another hood. CJ encounters some Ballas and he hurries to get the tags sprayed before Sweet arrives. Soon, his brother rolls in to collect CJ and the brothers head back to the hood. Once back in Grove Street, Sweet asks how Carl is with money, CJ is low, having most of his paper stolen from his encounter with C.R.A.S.H. Sweet gives him $200 and the brothers part ways for now. A short while later, CJ receives a call from Officer Jimmy Hernandez, who works with the corrupt C.R.A.S.H. officers Tenpenny and Pulaski. CJ doesn't want to hear anything the officer has to say but Hernandez says his message comes directly from Tenpenny and he goes on to say that CJ must not leave town whatsoever, otherwise, there will be major trouble for the gangster.
