[PAD] Meet the Dragonbounds Pt. 1 - Gadius (vs. Cauchemar Mythical)

Meet the Dragonbounds! Our favorite underplayed One-Shotting Heart-Eating Husbandos. Ikemen on Snakes! The Dragonbounds are both Godfest Exclusives. Something I neglected to mention in this video which I'm realizing now. They are Gadius, the Fire counterpart, and Typhon, the Dark flavored one. Both their mechanics revolve around matching Hearts to activate a very large ATK multiplier (on par with usual combo leads or even larger than many). Gadius is pretty exclusively rows, whereas Typhon could be built prongs but works a lot better as rows for the most part. Being Godfest Exclusives, they are available every Godfest and only during the Godfests. Typhon is the rarer of the two being a 6-star. Both their playstyles differ slightly and their Sub options also differ. Today's Part 1 features the Fire Dragonbound, Gadius. One match of hearts gives 2.5x/6.25x and Two Matches gives 6x/36x. This lets them lay on the hurt pretty good. For Part 2, featuring the Dark Dragonbound, Typhon, click here:    • [PAD] Meet the Dragonbounds Pt. 2 - Typhon...   Why don't they see a lot of play then? They require pretty specific subs to be effective and consistent. At least a few. Trust me when I say I've tried running this team farmable as much as I could. It's not terrible, but there are better options at that point. And it's far from consistent. If you do have at LEAST 2 or 3 of his good REM subs, by all means play him. Yamato Takeru, Uriel, and Sanada Yukimura are the best subs for Gadius hands down. Urd is okay, and even Verdandi in a streeeeeetch. (Here I'm running her for this dungeon specifically.) If you have at least 2-3 of those, then you can fill the last slots with a red orb changer (not heartbreaker), or heartmaker like a toydragon or fruit dragon (fruit dragon works surprisingly well). Having two Yamatos REALLY makes Gadius shine, since he lacks a Skill Boost, having 6 from 2 of your subs really helps get Gadius online turn 1. Because if you can't generate hearts AND fire on the first turn, you're at the mercy of the board. so 2 Yamatos + any 2 other skill boosts ensures you can activate at least a Yamato turn 1 and begin your blast to glory. Husbando POWER! 'Check back tomorrow for Part 2 when I take a look at his dark n sexaaay counterpart, Typhon! And come stop by the stream!!!   / dzydzydino   or come catch me on Kamcord as well!!!
