Long lines at Charlotte airport as Thanksgiving travel hits peak

Millions of Americans are expected to travel by air for Thanksgiving, including tens of thousands making their way through Charlotte Douglas. Airport officials said Wednesday will be the busiest day of the week, with long lines at security checkpoints. They're asking all travelers to be patient due to higher demand on gate agents, airlines and other airport staff. All passengers are asked to arrive at Charlotte Douglas two hours early for domestic flights and three hours early for international flights to ensure they get through security and on their plane in time. #WakeUpCLT #Thanksgiving "From a local perspective, we can range anywhere between 24,000 to 28,000.
