Medical workers fighting to keep people alive through historic heatwave

Medical workers are responding to heat-related illnesses and officials worry if the heat continues patients could overwhelm the medical system. They show medical crews in Salem responding to calls about heat-related illness. On Saturday, they helped dozens of people, some on the streets and others who collapsed while working. Dr. Anne Toledo is chief of urgent care for Kaiser Permanente in Portland. She stressed record-high temperatures across the region are a recipe for heatstroke.
