Akai MPC Live 3 Sample Flip – Michel’le “Something in My Heart” (Live Beat Performance)

In this video, I cooked up a new beat on the MPC Live 3, flipping the classic Michel’le – “Something in My Heart.” I chopped the sample into small, expressive pieces and re-arranged them to create a completely new vibe, layering her smooth melodic phrases around a drum kit I built from scratch. I also blended in some AJ Hall drum breaks to give the groove that extra punch and live feel. The combination of my drums, AJ Hall’s textures, and Michel’le’s one-of-a-kind, unmistakable voice really brought this beat together. This is also my first time using OBS, and I recorded the video with the OBSBOT Meet 2 and OSMO Pocket 3 cameras, while routing all the audio through my Zoom LiveTrak L6 for a clean and balanced mix.
