Pan of yellow Boston Marathon bags behind barriers STORYLINE: Four people, who ran in the Boston Marathon, described the bloody devastation that followed after two bombs exploded in the crowded streets near the finish line of the famous race on Monday. The bombs killed at least three people and injured more than 140 and raised fears that extremists may have targeted the US again. New Jersey resident Cindy Hill was running the marathon, and crossed the finish line moments before the explosion. Hill says that she and her husband "saw lots of smoke. And there was a second one and we knew it was a bomb and everyone said run, you need to run." Hill's husband, Michael Schlitt, saw ambulances racing to scene as runners fled the chaos. As the FBI took charge of the investigation, authorities shed no light on a motive or who may have carried out the bombings, and police said they had no suspects in custody.
