Your 7 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for June 14, 2024: TGIF! Plan on gorgeous weather over the next 48 hours with lower humidity and lots of sunshine. It's all due to a cold front that is passed through northern Ohio earlier today. Picture perfect highs this afternoon in the upper 70s. Open up those windows and bottle up the air tonight as clear skies and light wind will give way to temps that drop into the 50s. This will be the air we wish for come next week. We have Weather Impact Alert Days for next Monday through Thursday, with several days of serious heat coming our way. The high heat and humidity will reach dangerous limits come Monday afternoon. Highs will soar into the low-to-mid 90s with dewpoints in the low 70s. That is tropical air. The combination of the two will have heat indices approaching 100 degrees or higher. This stretch of dangerous heat will last through next week. The high humidity along with a lake breeze could produce pop-up thundershowers for minor relief in the afternoon. Otherwise, be prepared to sweat. During this extended time of dangerous heat, make sure to limit your time outdoors and stay hydrated. There are signs that the heat will back down into the following weekend, but this multi-day stretch of mid 90s will cause enough problems on its own.
